Sometimes the words just don’t come. Instead, I find myself swimming in visuals, in images, in the style of every person who passes me on the street. All I want to do is absorb the words printed on the thick paper of literary magazines or soak up the sumptuous fashion tastes I find on the internet. Sometimes writing my own words feels like a burden. And in these moments, when I feel like I have nothing interesting or worthwhile to say, I turn my attention to the nuanced beauty that waits all around.
